The hotel's location is very convenient as it is right at the center of Samarkand. Its about 15 minutes drive to the airport and train station. It is also around 5 mins drive to Registan Square and has supermarkets, restaurants and pharmacies around the hotel. The property is very clean with clean and fresh towels, toilettries, kettle, coffee, tea and bottled waters. It also has a bidet in the washrooms which is a big advantage :) The Terrace, the restaurant where they serve the breakfast is amazing in decor, quality and variety of food. However, the gem of this hotel is simply the management and staff. The owner is very kind and down to earth who even offered us complimentary drop-off and pick up to the train station. He tells us funny stories and is very engaging. The staff at the reception especially Azamat and Fairoz were very accommodating and helpful too. They never hesitate to offer support even with restaurant recommendations, which were amazing recommendations as well. If anyone is travelling to Samarkand, I highly recommend Medina Hotel! Rahmat, Medina Hotel! Wishing you all the best! :)

Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of options, sweet and savoury, for breakfast (just the coffee was waterish, but it is actually quite difficult to find good coffe in the country, they prefer tea). The view from the breakfast area (top floor) is amazing. Lcation is central, but not just by the touristic areas. It is fine if you do not mind a 15-20 min walk and see the modern city. The swimming pool is great to relax, specially if you have children. Also at night, just to sit by it and chat and drink or eat something. There are minimarkets close by, in fact one just accross the street, for quick needs (fruit, chips, beer, chocolate…), and also several restaurants. Actually the street where the hotel is is a modern and busy street. The room was pretty quiet at night, no noise from traffic (though occasionally a dog barking)

A lovely hotel situated in a quiet area, just a 5-minute walk from the old town. The lobby is spacious, and the rooms are large and well-appointed. Breakfasts are satisfying. The hotel provides clean towels, slippers, robes, a hair dryer, and comfortable, large beds with fresh, high-quality linen. Bathrooms are spacious and spotless. There’s good Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV (which we didn’t use), a pool, and a sauna. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We booked two "family" rooms—both were excellent, with no complaints at all. The hotel is undergoing expansion, and some finishing work is being done on a neighboring building. However, it’s quiet during the evenings, and any daytime work didn't disturb us as we were out exploring the city.

There are so many excellent things to note about The Medina. For one, the staff - who truly make the experience. Leyla at the front desk was my go-to all three days and she was accommodating and generous, helpful and catering to every detail. As tourists from abroad, she really went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Sam at the breakfast table was also great - as was Rustom at the breakfast table. Medina's breakfast is also everything to write home about, and was easily the best hotel breakfast we had across our 8 days in Uzbekistan. I recommend them highly. :)

The hotel is new and luxurious. The room was clean, comfortable and the bed was wide. The lighting combined with the high ceiling created a special atmosphere. Staff and management very responsive, friendly. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and a relaxation area in the courtyard. There are beautiful pictures in the hallways. There is pleasant relaxing music and a pleasant aroma in the hotel. The stay in this hotel was pleasant! We highly appreciate the care and positive attitude of hotel employees towards customers.
